There are over 22,000 professional taxi drivers in NSW - enjoying a flexible yet rewarding career.

Due to increased demand, we have an immediate need for professional drivers to be frontline ambassadors for our Industry and our State.

Becoming a driver opens the door to unlimited opportunities for a flexible and rewarding career within the Industry. Some drivers go on to own or lease a Taxi or fleet of taxis, others work with people with disabilities, the premium service fleets, or the Maxi Taxis.

If you wish to join our Industry, or are seeking an opportunity to specialise within the Industry, you may need to undergo training.

Listed below are the different career options for taxi drivers.

• WATS Driver - A WATS driver drives wheelchair accessible Taxis and specialises in transporting people with disabilities.
• Maxi Cab Driver - A Maxi cab takes up to 11 people and is widely used for special events.
• Secure Rank Attendant - these attendants supervise the Friday and Saturday night Secure Ranks, and Special Event Ranks.
